Once the blue skin (rubber membrane) was removed, the foundation crack is visible.
Next with the use of chipping hammer the foundation crack is chipped out to the desired width & depth along with grinder off any tar that needs to be removed again starting at the top of the crack in the foundation working down to the foundation footing.
Using a trowel & what is called a slicker, the new cement is slicked( pushed ) back into the foundation(vertical)crack. The concrete sets(drys) very quickly, with in minutes the concrete is dressed to blend in with the existing concrete foundation. Next the 6 ft of the foundation concrete footing was re poured.
Two feet of sand was shoveled in along the foundation's footing which is used for absorbing moisture. Along with shoveling in the earth to the required height.
